Prioritizing Healthy Work Relationships by cultivating Workplace Well-Being is an important aspect of business success. Horses have a lot to teach us about well-being. They help work teams find emotional balance that empowers their work relationships and maximizes outcomes.
Horses guide us to a place of ‘coherence’ which is a peak performance state. Business Coach Identifies Path to Maximizing Employee Productivity
By Razelle Janice Drescher
Your Employees Are Your Most Precious Resource
New Hires are typically very excited to have landed their new job. They are looking forward to a good experience. But often, a business is unprepared to bring that new hire on board in a way that sets the employee up for success.
Instead, it’s common for an employee to show up on Day One, only to find that there isn’t any particular plan in place for introducing them to the job or to the rest of the company. Too many times, the employee is thrown in and has to sink or swim. This puts a lot of pressure on the new hire and often feels more like a burden to the employer than an opportunity.

Solving a Business Frustration Starts with Identifying the True Problem
A number of years ago during a booming economy, I was working with a client who owned a mortgage company and was very frustrated by the many mistakes that his team was making throughout the complex mortgage qualification and initiation sales process. Dysfunction in the workplace often occurs due to a lack of clarity about company’s vision, each team member’s role in the company, who does what and to what standard of excellence as well as clarity about the growth path of the company and how the company’s management and leadership get results through their teams while maintaining healthy work relationships. Unclear communication is usually the culprit. The lack of clarity often shows up when there is nothing in writing that sets the standard for how things will be done. If there is no business vision in place, there is no unifying idea that drives everyone in the same direction. Instead, you have people doing what they think is best because that’s all they can offer. What helps here is a shift in thinking.
A Memorable Day with the Herd: Highlights from Our Open House
By Razelle Janice Drescher
What happens when curious minds, open hearts, and horses come together? You get something that feels a lot like magic, and that’s exactly what unfolded at our June 11th Open House in Watsonville.
Guests arrived with thoughtful questions and a willingness to explore something new. They stepped into the arena (some a bit nervous, others excited) and participated in mini-sessions with our horses, no saddles, no reins, just presence and connection. Occasionally, a halter may be used to make a participant feel more comfortable.
